Make Safety a Habit

May 3, 2016 By Kerry Vital

This week marks North American Occupational Safety & Health (NAOSH) Week across the country. It takes place every year in the first week of May, and as the name suggests, focuses on occupational health and safety. Learn more about NAOSH Week here. WorkSafe BC has even more information about B.C.-specific events here.

Many people think of falls and major injuries when they think about OH&S, but it’s more than that. Did you know that even something as simple as a paper cut can require a safety report being filed? It is important to have multiple people certified in First Aid, to ensure that there is adequate coverage at all times.

The CITN is proud to be able to offer some of the best safety courses in the province, including Fall Protection, Confined Space Awareness, First Aid, and Trenching and Excavation Safety, among many others. We can bring the trainer directly to a job site, or enroll you in one of our classroom sessions. Want to learn more? Check out our course calendar,  or contact us to set up job site training.
