Spotlight on: Supervisors Bootcamp – Practical Leadership Toops for Front Line Supervisors

April 3, 2018 By Kerry Vital

One of our popular courses is back for 2018! Our Supervisors Bootcamp is returning to Victoria on April 27, Prince George on May 29, Fort St John on June 21, Burnaby on July 11, and Whitehorse on May 15.

The Supervisors Bootcamp is designed specifically for front-line supervisors and managers in all industries. It is open to individuals with all levels of experience, but is most effective for those working for companies with an already established safety management system. Participants will be given a leadership ‘tool kit’ comprised of the simplest but most effective leadership concepts, from which they can effectively build and develop their own leadership style. They will also take self-assessment questionnaires and participate in exercises based on the actual work they do and the crews they lead.

Customized training? But of course!

March 13, 2018 By Kerry Vital

Did you know that CITN offers customized training? Because we do! We can bring the trainer to you any time, anywhere in BC or Whitehorse. Or, we can host a private session at a local venue. We handle all of the logistics, from booking the instructor to deciding on catering.

CITN prides itself on its approach to customer service, and one of the cherries on the top of the CITN cake is our ability to provide exactly the training you need with just one email. Our project coordinator once organized a trainer to go to a client’s job site with 12 hours notice. She hasn’t stopped talking about it since, but we’re okay with that.

Because we offer about 300 courses per year in the classroom, we have an extensive network of training providers, and we know they’re good at what they do. We can bring a trainer to you for everything from hands-on equipment training to supervisory and management skills to workshops such as Microsoft Excel or Responsibilities of Joint Health and Safety Committees. Anything you want, we can find it!

How do you get access to this? Just one email to info@trainingnetwork.ca, and we’ll leap into action. We are never too busy to talk about training! After all, it’s right there in our name.

Safety First!

February 6, 2018 By Kerry Vital

And by safety, obviously we mean safety courses!

Accidents happen, and that’s especially true in construction. According to WorkSafeBC, accidents at work are responsible for millions of dollars in claims every year. Our safety training courses are here for you, before any accidents happen. We offer Fall Protection, Occupational First Aid Level 1, Responsibilities of Joint Health and Safety Committees, Trenching & Excavation Safety… The list is seemingly endless!

Our public course calendar can be found here, but if you want to bring one of these or any other safety course to your job site, we can do that too! Send us an email to info@trainingnetwork.ca with your location, the number of people you want to train, and the course you need, and we’ll handle it from there. We can even book a venue and catering for you, if you are not able to hold it on your job site.

We want you to be safe at work, and being properly trained goes a long way toward that goal!

And we are never too busy to talk about training with you; after all it is our favourite subject!
